I’m Alex, Founder and Clinical Director of KPS. I am a BACP Registered and Accredited Psychotherapist, qualified Clinical Supervisor, and EMDR Therapist. I have always been passionate about mental health and I have been practising as a therapist since 2002. I am also Relate trained, qualified to work with couples and families, and I provide psychotherapy services to students in secondary schools. I have over fifteen years’ experience working within the Criminal Justice System, including offender management, victim contact services, and prison settings.
As well as providing therapy sessions to private clients, I currently work with a number of professional organisations and schools, providing psychotherapy and clinical support to staff in emotionally demanding roles. This work focuses on supporting wellbeing, reflective practice, and sustainable ways of working within complex professional environments.
I work integratively, drawing on CBT, psychodynamic, systemic, and trauma focused approaches. This allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs, rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. I am a qualified EMDR therapist and can offer this face to face or online.
I aim to offer a calm, collaborative, and supportive space where you can feel safe to explore difficulties at a pace that feels right for you.
